What Is A Balloon Flower?
A balloon flower is a gathering and/or twisting of balloons into the shape of a flower. A balloon flower can be as simple as the one we are going to make today or it can be complicated and very detailed. The more complicated balloon flowers obviously take more skill and more practice to master. A simple balloon flower usually consists of four petals and one center balloon. You could make several different variations of this.
Have you ever seen a balloon creation with a beautiful balloon flower? Not to be confused with a flower called a balloon flower. I didn’t even know that was a thing until I went to write this post.
Steps To Make A Balloon Flower?
- Gather All Your Ingredients
- Make Two Duplets
- Twist Into A Quad
- Tie In The Middle Balloon
- Enjoy!
1. Gather All Your Ingredients
You are going to need some balloons, you can use whatever size or color you would like. For my example, I’m going to use four 5-inch purple balloons for the flower petals and one 5-inch green balloon for the center of the flower.
Next, you are going to need a balloon pump. Either a hand pump or an electric pump. I like this hand pump.
2. Make Two Duplets
I’m going to start by making a couple of duplets with my purple balloons, sized to 4-inch, I will link my post on how to make duplets here if you need it.
3. Twist Into A Quad
With my duplets all inflated I’m going to twist them together like so to make a quad.
4. Tie In The Middle Balloon
Next, I’m going to inflate the green center balloon to 2-inch and secure it to the center like this.
5. Enjoy!
Sometimes you may need to mess with it a bit to get it just right.
