Transporting balloon bouquets can be a delicate task, requiring careful attention to ensure the balloons arrive at their destination intact and vibrant. Whether you’re planning to surprise someone with a festive balloon arrangement or transporting balloons for a special event, following the right techniques is crucial. How To Transport Balloon Bouquets – Single Clip
What You Will Need:
- balloon bouquet (put together, attached to a weight)
- clip (binder clip, clothespin, mini spring clamp, etc.)

Gather Balloons
Grab the balloon ribbons in one hand. With the other hand gently pull on the balloon ribbons until all the balloons are at the base of your fist.
Attach Clip
Attach the clip at the base of your balloon ribbons, and wrap the balloon ribbons around the clip once to secure the clip and ribbons together.
Secure The Clip
Secure the clip to the balloon weight.
When Ready – Release
Transport the balloons (preferably in a balloon transporting bag), and when you are ready, release the clip from the balloon weight and the ribbons.

How To Transport Balloon Bouquets – Multiple Clips
What You Will Need:
- balloon bouquet (put together, attached to a weight)
- clips (binder clip, clothespin, mini spring clamp, etc.) you will need one clip for each balloon tiere

Gather Balloons
Grab the balloon ribbons for the top tier of balloons in one hand. With the other hand gently pull on the balloon ribbons until all the balloons are at the base of your fist.
Attach Clip
Attach the clip at the base of your balloon ribbons, and wrap the balloon ribbons around the clip once to secure the clip and ribbons together.
Repeat Previous Two Steps
Repeat the previous two steps until all the balloon tiers have been gathered and secured with a ribbon.
Secure The Clips
Starting with the top tier balloon clip, clip each balloon clip to the clip one level down until all the balloon tiers have been secured.
Secure the bottom balloon clip to the balloon weight.
When Ready – Release
Transport the balloons (preferably in a balloon transporting bag), and when you are ready, release the clips one at a time from the balloon weight and the ribbons, starting with the bottom clip and moving up the balloon bouquet.

How To Transport Balloon Bouquets – Card Board
What You Will Need:
- balloon bouquet (put together, attached to a weight)
- cardboard, card stock paper, or an index card (this can be a scrap piece of cardboard approximately 4″x6″)
- scissors
- hole punch (optional)

Prepared Cardboard / Index Card
Punch a hole in the middle of your index card on the short side, about an inch in.
Next, cut a line from the holes to the edge of the index card on the short side.
Repeat on the other small side of your cardboard or index card.
Gather Balloons
Grab the balloon ribbons in one hand. With the other hand gently pull on the balloon ribbons until all the balloons are at the base of your fist.
Attach Cardboard / Index Card
Loop the balloon ribbons through one of the holes in the cardboard or index card, then wrap the ribbon through and around the cardboard or index card until most of the ribbon is wrapped around the cardboard.
When Ready – Release
When you are ready to release, you can just rip the cardboard or index card and let the balloons release.
